Well, this is a rather unusual article for me.
I’ve been writing detailed blogs on particular things that I feel like sharing.
I came across a few websites recently and before I could realize, I had wasted
a good 3 hours of my sleep every night on these, for almost a week now. Here
are 5 websites (not stumbleupon) that’ll keep you hooked to the internet for
hours.
The concept of this website is simple – “How
did websites look back in those days?” This website has captured screenshots of
almost all the websites that you can find on the internet today. The screenshots
dates range from 1996 to present day. I had fun viewing websites of giant
companies in the good ol’ days.
If you think your life sucks, check out posts
by people explaining why theirs sucks more. It’s quite funny reading all the
posts published on the website. You can even agree with them or feel pity for
them, if their life is really that bad. I don’t mean to stalk anyone’s life but
hey, they put their funny stories on the internet for everybody to read.
Have you ever been intrigued by how the things
around you actually work? From the toaster in the morning to your car that
drives you to work, you’ll find all the information on this website. It’s great
for the kids who explore and wish to learn new things every day.
This website is hilarious to say the least.
It’s a parody of Wikipedia that came into existence in 2005. It became so
popular that it grew to having over 30,000 pages in English. It uses satirical
humor and curse words that make it a rather hysterical read.
This is quite an interesting website that has
access to information of your ancestors. The websites works best for US
citizens. All you have to do is provide all the information you have about your
ancestors in a family tree (generated by the website) and once relevant data is
found on the database, it gets added to your family tree. It even provides an
interactive way of displaying all the information.
FUN FACT – Search for Uncylopedia on
Wikipedia and Wikipedia on Unclyclopedia; it gives some interesting results.
I’m sure these websites will help you kill some
of the boredom when you’re not on Facebook. Have fun wasting time on these websites;
but before you leave, don’t forget to subscribe to this blog for more
interesting articles, and let me know if you found any of these suggestions
interesting in the comments section below.
